Privacy policy

1. Controller

2. In short

• No cookies, no tracking, no analytics, no ads.
• All fonts, images, data and scripts are served from our own server – nothing is sent to Google, CDNs or other third parties.
• All sky calculations run entirely in your browser.

3. Hosting and server log files

This website is hosted by united-domains AG, Gautinger Straße 10, 82319 Starnberg, Germany. When you visit, the server automatically processes technically necessary data sent by your browser: IP address, date and time, requested URL, referrer, browser type and operating system. This is required to deliver and secure the website (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). Log files are deleted after a short period. A data processing agreement with the host is in place (Art. 28 GDPR).

4. Location

By default your location is only roughly estimated from your browser’s time zone. If you choose “Use my location”, your browser asks for permission and passes your coordinates to the page. They are used solely in your browser for calculations and are never sent to us or third parties (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). You can revoke permission in your browser settings at any time.

5. Local storage

Your last selected location is saved in your browser’s local storage so you don’t have to choose it again. This information never leaves your device and can be deleted via your browser settings at any time.

6. Compass and motion sensors

In compass mode, and only after your permission, the page reads your device’s orientation sensors to align the sky view. The values are processed live in your browser and are neither stored nor transmitted.

7. Sound

The soundscape is generated live in your browser. No third-party audio files are loaded and no microphone is used.

8. External links

Links to other websites (e.g. orbitfenster.de, mietzmedia.de or source credits) are only opened when you click them. The respective provider’s privacy policy applies there.

9. Your rights

You have the right of access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability and objection (Art. 15–21 GDPR), and the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority.
